Much help is needed with the preparations for mission trips, events, and conferences. As an Operations team member you can help us with packing food packs, organizing flip flops and clothes by size, packing school supplies, loading the trucks, helping with pick-ups, decorating, printing, building, and data entry.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS TO TRAVEL WITH AHAVA HOUSE:
- If you are 14 or under, you must be accompanied by a volunteer adult.
- You must be able to volunteer at least on 1 day of operations.
- You must behave according to AHAVA HOUSE’s guidelines of good conduct outlined in the Volunteer’s Manual. You are expected to conduct yourself according to the highest standards of integrity and Biblical morality.
- You must be physically able to bear the work load, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, and lift 20-lb. packages.
- You are required to take care of your own medical expenses in case of sickness, or accident during the operations day.
- You must make transportation arrangements to arrive to, and leave, the operations location.
- You may be required to wear the AHAVA HOUSE t-shirt while active in operations work. We may provide 1 free logo t-shirt. If you’d like an additional t-shirt, the fee is $15/t-shirt.
- You must be able to follow instructions and work as a team-player.
- Your registration is subject to review and approval by our operations team. You must submit all required information.
- Depending on the demand for volunteers and amount of work, we’ll assign you to an operations day of work.
